Join us for our upcoming Broncos Board Meeting. These meetings are open to the public, and we welcome guests and anyone interested in getting involved with our organization.
If you’re interested in becoming a Head Coach, we will be holding nominations during the meeting. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the program, and take the next step in getting involved.
We currently have 23 board members and are always looking to grow with individuals who want to make a positive impact on our program and community.

Great news for the NIFC!
For the 2026 season, we’re adding new organizations and expanding opportunities for more athletes across the conference.
Stillman Valley is joining with Middleweight, Heavyweight, 7th Grade, and 8th Grade teams.
Genoa-Kingston is adding a 7th Grade team.
DeKalb and Sycamore have created a co-op program that will field teams from Flyweight through Heavyweight.
With these additions, the 2026 season is shaping up to be the biggest and most exciting year in NIFC history.

Whether you are signed up or not, we are hosting an information meeting for all families.
We will be discussing:• Team information and what to expect this season• Our current registration numbers and how some levels may have different options due to high participation• Updates regarding middle school football, including clarification on what is happening at that level
We are also excited to share some great updates for the program, including:• Our Bronco Combine at NIU that was just confirmed• New jersey designs for the season• New equipment being added to the program• More local teams joining the NIFC

Close to 100 sign-ups in the first week—wow! Thank you Bronco families for the amazing support. Our Free Registration Drawing will take place Friday!
The Broncos have always been upfront about everything we do, and every decision we make is about the kids and their experience.
Registration costs:
• $400 – Tackle Football
• $300 – Cheer
• $200 – Flag Football
With registration you also receive $100 in raffle tickets, and you keep all the money you sell. ( $50 more than last year)
Families who register more than one child receive $100 off ( per kid) their total registration. ($50 more than last year)
Most importantly, if registration fees are a concern, please email us at [email protected]. We can sponsor families and it is completely confidential. The Broncos have always made sure no child is turned away because of cost.
We also just ordered 50 more brand new Riddell SpeedFlex helmets, bringing our total to nearly 200 SpeedFlex helmets that are under two years old.
Each football player also borrows close to $1,000 worth of equipment during the season, including helmets, shoulder pads, and other protective gear. Registration helps us continue to provide safe, high-quality equipment for every player.
Registration fees also help cover many other program expenses, including:
• $750 per team league fees
• Referee fees – $380 per game (4 games per day = $1,520 per game day)
• Field paint and field maintenance
• Insurance for the organization
• Over $1,000 per year in game balls
• Custom reversible jerseys for players
Recent program purchases have also included:
• Enclosed equipment trailer
• Scoreboard
• Run-out tunnel
• Field markers & first-down chains
• DJ speakers
• Run-out sparklers & smoke cannon
• Team mascot
The Broncos are also a USA Football Gold Status Program, something no other nearby program has achieved. There are only four programs in the entire state of Illinois with this status.
We truly want the best experience possible for our kids and families, and we thank all of you for the continued support of Bronco Football.
This program continues to grow because of the amazing families, volunteers, and kids who make up the Bronco community. Our Town. Our Team. Respect All, Fear None.
There will always be a little negativity and a few bad voices, but we will continue to stay positive and focused on what matters most, the kids. Let’s keep moving forward Broncos. 🟠🔵🏈

Bronco Day is Back! 🐎🔵🟠
Looking at old traditions and seeing how fun this was and how little some of the kids were in those photos, I thought it would be great to bring it back.
Monday, 3-2-26 will be Bronco Day to kick off registration!
Wear your Bronco gear to school, work, or around town and post a picture in the comments on this post showing off your Bronco pride. Let’s fill this page with Bronco blue and orange and celebrate the start of another exciting season!

7th and 8th Grade Football and Cheer!
The Northern Illinois Football Conference (NIFC) has grown significantly over the past few years and now includes 21 teams, with programs such as Stillman Valley, Oregon, and Winnebago joining in recent years. These are communities similar in size to ours, and these programs help develop athletes who go on to become high school football players in their districts.
We’re looking forward to providing the same opportunity for our athletes and continuing to grow the Broncos program.

We’re getting close to sign-ups, so mark your calendars — March 1st — and get ready for another amazing Broncos season!
We’ve increased our sibling discount from $50 to $100 because we know this program is about family — and we want the whole family to enjoy the season together.
Raffle tickets will be $10 each. With registration, you’ll receive tickets to sell, and you keep the first $100, which helps offset your costs.
Please also take advantage of our payment plan option. We understand there are a lot of sports and fees throughout the year, and we want to make this as easy as possible for our families. If you choose the payment plan, payments will not begin until June.
