Dear Friends,
Over Eighty years ago, a tradition of caring and sharing was established in the Sycamore/DeKalb area with the first Goodfellows Christmas project. This informal group meets only during the Holiday season to help spread Christmas cheer to families in need. Although many adults outgrow the notion, the Goodfellows truly believe in Santa Claus and the magic of Christmas, particularly f
or those children who may not otherwise know Santa Claus this year. Last year, over 160 children were in need in our community. Dozen of people helped distribute the gifts to children's homes on Christmas Eve. All overhead is assumed by the members of this project. Every dollar donated will be spent directly on gifts for local children. The Goodfellows of Genoa-Kingston are exempt form Federal Income Tax under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to Goodfellows are tax deductible under section 170. The FEIN number is 46-559-1325. Kindly mark your calendar for 10am on December 24th, and help make these children very happy Reports from the North Pole indicate an extra long list this year. Please let us know if you can help by making early cash donations, wrapping paper and tape. Your donations will give us a better understanding as to what our resources will be so let everyone know the importance of early donations. We hope our holiday season comes with cheer and goodwill to all and may the spirit of the holiday follow you through the New Year. Our sincere thanks and best wishes to you and your families.
