Thanks to WHEC TV for coming out to Geneva Saturday to cover the Finger Lakes Film Festival. The community we celebrated was a global community of filmmakers, with visiting filmmakers from across the country and films from around the world. We were proud to host a special presentation of Geneva Falls, produced by a youth filmmaking camp at The Dove Block Project last summer.

The 2026 Finger Lakes Film Festival brought international filmmakers and a record audience to The Smith Opera House, showcasing work from countries including Iran, Serbia, Portugal, Italy, Finland, Guatemala and Singapore.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Finger Lakes Film Festival yesterday! We had a record turnout of both filmmakers and film lovers in attendance. Special congratulations to our Jury Award Winners Dalton Allen, whose film “Peach Melba” made us laugh, cry, and look into starting an ice sculpture business in Texas; Eli Jeffery, whose animated film “Outbound” combines the physical and the digital seamlessly; and Audience Award Winner Louisa Duchin, whose film “Teddy and Tater” tells an all too relatable story of being true to oneself even though it means disappointing others in our lives! Pictured with the winners are festival organizers Rebecca Burditt and Tim Banach.

Sneak Peek at our 2026 Program: We're happy to welcome back festival alum Lou Duchin with her new film "Teddy & Tater," a heart*felt* (ahem!) look at a comedy duo who find themselves at a crossroads in their personal lives and consequently their career.

"Teddy & Tater" will screen on Saturday, February 28th as part of the 8:30 Program at The Smith Opera House.
