Pets can have a powerful impact on our well-being—bringing comfort, companionship, joy, and even helping to ease stress.

Today is Ginger Cat Appreciation Day, but around here, we appreciate all of our pets all of the time!

Drop a photo of your beloved pet in the comments—ginger or otherwise! And, if you’d like, share a little about what they mean to you.

Sometimes, a little chaos with whiskers and purrs is just what you need. 🐾

Newsflash (to some): LGBTQ+ people are not a new phenomenon! Same-sex relationships and gender nonconforming people have existed for as long as humans have walked the earth. Unfortunately, this knowledge is not widely taught, and in some cases, is even being censored.
Let's celebrate our LGBTQ+ elders and ancestors, and fight for inclusive education so that their stories can be shared with the next q***r generation. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

• PFLAG National has two workshops that center LGBTQ+ history—one that is called “The LGBT+ History and Culture Extravaganza” and another called “When Past & Present Collide.” You can find them both at pflag.org/onlineacademy
• LGBT History Month was created in 1994 by an openly gay teacher in Missouri and has been recognized each October since. You can learn more about this event and the 31 LGBTQ+ icons Equality Forum has recognized each year since 2006 at lgbthistorymonth.com
