His application to remove the property known as Pappy’s Patch is in front of the County’s Planning & Zoning Commission on 10/7. Please show up and make it clear the public does not want this. That we want the County to protect our Rural Boundary from sprawl development.

Elections have consequences.

We have one in November. You have a vote; use it wisely.

Over the last decade our Florida State House, State Senate, and Governor have aggressively torn down the state’s growth management tools. Put the same crew back into office and they will continue to do the same thing. We need accountability.

Do not blindly vote party line, know your candidate.

People power has been keeping these energy sucking, water consuming, land destroying, and noise pollution generating behemoths out of Florida.

But who we elect for Tallahassee seats in November will have a say in this. Some on the ballot have made it clear they want to not only allow, but actually incentivize data centers to be build on our natural lands. And (yet again) they will preempt local control over this issue.

Amid stark opposition, data center developers think twice about Florida

"Florida’s pro-business aura and the AI-driven data center boom across the South seem like a perfect match on paper. The only problem: Communities statewide are not on board.

At least 20 Sunshine State counties and municipalities have passed or discussed a temporary — and, in some cases, permanent — moratorium on data centers. In many others, residents have packed local commission meetings armed with T-shirts, signs and petitions urging elected officials to restrict data center projects."

Senate Bill 180 Strikes Again

Another insightful post by excellent investigative journalist Jason Garcia. The consequences of who we sent to Tallahassee are here. The senators, house reps, and governor we sent to Tallahassee have paid back their donors by preempting our local growth controls. Even if our local county commissioners want to protect us, Tallahassee won’t let them.

This November, will we send the same bought and paid for crew back? The choice is ours.
