✨Today!✨

The history of International Women’s Day (IWD) teaches us that when we organize and fight back, we win!

Join Geneva Women’s Assembly and Students for Humanitarian Justice today, March 8th to build our skills and build our power! We’ll have a series of activist skill-building workshops that participants can put to use immediately at Geneva’s 9th annual IWD rally and march. There will also be free food, activities for kids, and opportunities to meet and build with local grassroots organizations!

For over a hundred years, IWD has celebrated the power of working women’s participation in the fight for peace and freedom. Today, the importance of organizing to defeat the billionaire’s agenda is more important than ever! From Geneva to the Middle East and New York to Latin America, almost everyone in society is targeted in one way or another by Trump’s far-right program. Tens of millions of working class people could lose access to Medicaid, food stamps, and other forms of life-saving assistance. Immigrants are being hunted down by brutal ICE agents. Trans rights, abortion rights, and reproductive healthcare are all under attack. Trump is giving a clear signal to racist cops that they will face no consequences for killing Black people. U.S. military and economic policy are starving people in Gaza and Cuba and bringing us to the brink of global war. We can defeat the far-right agenda if we unite all these struggles into one powerful people’s movement and organize to defend our rights and our communities!

From the Finger Lakes to Minneapolis, ICE out of everywhere!

We demand justice for Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who was brutally murdered by Federal Agents on January 24th. We stand in solidarity with the people of Minnesota who have come together as neighbors, protected their communities, and organized the first U.S. General Strike in eighty years. Minnesota has shown the country that there is power in numbers!

We have witnessed escalating violence against our immigrant communities in the Finger Lakes as ICE and Border Patrol continue to conduct raids at homes and workplaces. ICE terrorists are coming into our communities to detain and kidnap our neighbors. Like the people of Minnesota, we will not stop mobilizing and protesting against ICE and Border Patrol. We will continue to stand with and support our immigrant neighbors until ICE is abolished.

Geneva Women’s Assembly, Finger Lakes Rapid Response Network, and the Party for Socialism and Liberation-FLX, with support from other Finger Lakes community organizations, have called an emergency rally to end ICE’s reign of terror across the country.

Justice for Renee Nicole Good! Stop ICE terror!

We demand justice for Renee Nicole Good and an end to ICE’s reign of terror across the country and here in the Finger Lakes.

Renee Nicole Good’s cold-blooded murder is part of a campaign designed to sow terror and pursue a white supremacist agenda to expel huge numbers of people from the United States. But we refuse to be intimidated or divided!

We have a right to protest against ICE’s brutality! We have seen time and again that the Trump administration will try to criminalize people exercising their free speech rights. But we will not be silenced. We will continue to raise our voice until we win justice for Renee Nicole Good and end ICE’s mass deportations once and for all.

"The members of FLX Beacon and the Transgender Visibility Project of Ontario County mourn the passing of Danny “Dusse” Siplin alongside our Rochester-based community. Danny was only 33 years old, but was literally built into the foundation of Rochester as a member of the Construction Industry Association of Rochester. We offer our sincerest condolences to Danny's mother, Tracey Riley, and to all of Danny's family, of origin and chosen. Danny should still be here. He, like too many trans people - especially trans people of color, died too young.
As we mourn the loss of Danny, we ask that you check in on your trans community members and share crisis resources with your friends and family; we never know who needs them. We recommend THRIVE Lifeline: https://thrivelifeline.org/ and Trans Lifeline, which can be reached at 1-877-565-8860. With Danny on our minds and in our hearts, we remain committed to strengthening visible access to affirming spaces and communities in 2026. If you want to join us, please reach out to [email protected].

EMERGENCY PROTEST TODAY IN GENEVA: No War with Venezuela 🚨

Early this morning, the Trump administration bombed Caracas following weeks of threats from Trump that a land invasion of Venezuela would begin soon. The illegal bombing campaign of the capital of Venezuela was shown to be wide-ranging and indiscriminate. This is a war crime!

This could be the start of yet another war, based completely on lies. Over 70% of people in the United States oppose a new war - our public funds should be used for people’s needs instead! This violence is not in our names. We must refuse another endless war for profits!
