Our Volunteer of the Month, Marcia Swanson, has been volunteering at the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry for one year. She assists guests in the food room and sorts donations in the clothing room. Marcia has a husband, Gregg, who also volunteers at the Food Pantry. They have two children, three grandchildren, and one cat. She enjoys fishing, kayaking, being outside and drawing. Marcia said the best thing about volunteering at the Food Pantry is the people she has met (staff, volunteers and guests). She said everyone has been so kind! Marcia said sometimes guests do not take all their allowed number of items, so that they can leave more for others! Thank you for all your help, Marcia!

If you, your family, or organization would like to provide holiday gifts for a local family in need, fill out the form below. The Food Pantry will contact you with a family’s wish list including sizes, favorite colors, etc. on November 2. Gifts should be delivered by December 15.
