Last Thursday, Mrs. Emily Ginn represented our Ag Department at the GBRIA (Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance) Awards Banquet after being nominated by two of our industry sponsors- Cajun Industries (featured) and ISC.

Our department was recognized and received the GBRIA Workforce Development Merit Award! This recognition celebrates the dedication and hard work that goes into preparing our students for the workforce with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to succeed.

We'd like to thank our sponsors again for their nominations for this award and to GBRIA for this honor!

We had such a great time last week at Area IV Leadership Camp! Our members had the opportunity to meet new FFA members, attend workshops, compete in scavenger hunts, hang out with other chapters at chapter night, and so much more. We’re excited to take what they learned and share it with our chapter this upcoming year!

BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING FOR OUR PROGRAM & SCHOOL🤍

Several of our chapter officers attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new campus additions, including our future Agriscience labs and classroom. These new facilities will provide incredible opportunities for hands-on learning and help strengthen our program and department for years to come.

We are especially proud of our Chapter President, Jorja Kling, who was interviewed during the event and shared how these additions will positively impact our students while continuing the strong legacy of our program.

We look forward to watching these exciting developments take shape and seeing the lasting impact they will have on future generations of students!

Congratulations to Jenna and Jorja Kling on earning their State FFA Degree!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Jenna and Jorja as the first members in our chapter’s history to earn this prestigious honor. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to agriculture and FFA have set a remarkable example for future members.

The State FFA Degree is one of the highest honors a state association can bestow upon its members. To earn this degree, members must demonstrate outstanding leadership, active participation in FFA activities, complete significant agricultural coursework, maintain a successful Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program, invest or earn substantial funds through their SAE, and meet rigorous membership and achievement requirements.

Jenna and Jorja’s accomplishments reflect years of perseverance, service, and excellence. We are excited to celebrate this milestone with them and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future!

Day 3 was packed with excitement and unforgettable memories! We started the day at the Suspense Games which always get our brains thinking. Jenna and Jorja had the honor of attending the State Degree Recipient Reception, while members also participated in engaging workshops throughout the day. We wrapped up the evening on the dance floor and having our chapter reflections. It was a long day, but every moment was worth it!

We made it yesterday to the 97th Louisiana FFA State Convention & Expo and have hit the ground running! Between sessions, workshops, meeting new friends, and spending quality time together as a chapter, it’s already been an incredible experience.

Yesterday we were recognized for our 2025 National Chapter Award for a 2 Star Chapter⭐️,
and today we were honored to be recognized for the Livestock Exhibition Award, earning both Superior and Silver honors! We wrapped up the night enjoying the Mike Broussard concert and making even more great memories together. 💙🎶🐄
