But tease me not, oh snowflake--

come, your season’s here at last.” ❄️

Gerad Meteyer had a way of turning quiet moments into lasting words. Written in 2001, Oh! Snowflake captures his curiosity, creativity, and deep appreciation for the world around him.

As winter settles in, we hope you’re finding moments of beauty, stillness, and hope during these colder months. At the Gerad Meteyer Foundation, we honor Gerad’s legacy by supporting young people who use their voices, talents, and compassion to create meaningful change--no matter the season.

Thank you for being part of his story and helping us carry it forward.

If you are in or near Marquette, consider going to Panera Bread on December 19 to support Camp UPeninsulin!

Add this to your calendar!

Panera in Marquette has allowed us to team up to raise money for summer 2026. On December 19, come get dinner while you're finishing up your holiday shopping. Mention to the cashier that you're dining on behalf of Camp UPeninsulin, or type in promo code FUND4U if you're doing self-checkout or takeout. 25% of the funds from your order go directly to Camp UPeninsulin!

Don't worry - we'll be sharing this again :)
