Earlier this week, Ron, Barb, and Kyle Meteyer from the Gerad Meteyer Foundation visited Camp MIDICHA to present counselors Jay and Andrew with the Gerad Meteyer Award, which is annually given to two counselors who demonstrate qualities like generosity, enthusiasm, role model, and kindness. It was a great visit, and as an added bonus, the campers sang Happy Birthday to Ron for his 78th birthday! Camp Midicha Parents Rock!

Camp season is just around the corner for Camp MIDICHA and Camp UPeninsulin —two incredible Michigan summer camps dedicated entirely to kids living with Type 1 diabetes.

For 18 years, the Gerad Meteyer Foundation (GMF) has been ensuring that every child gets to experience the magic of camp. Founded in 2008, just one year after we lost Gerad, our mission has always been to keep his spirit alive by breaking down financial and medical barriers for families.

Because of supporters like you, we have successfully sent hundreds of kids to camp over nearly two decades!
