KASSUBA LAKE RULES
Kassuba Lake is a PRIVATE non-sports lake. The community has many families and is quiet and peaceful. There are many children and for safety reasons the speed limit of 15 mph is strictly enforced. Boats, kayaks, paddle boards and the like must be power-washed before they are put in the Lake to avoid the transferring of aquatic species to this carefully managed lake ecosystem. The following rules are also strictly enforced.
1. Property owners, renters or occupants shall not use, or allow to be used, any internal combustion motor upon or within the waters of Kassuba Lake.
2. Snowmobiles shall not be operated on the frozen lake.
3. No temporary structures shall be erected or maintained on the premises, nor shall any house trailer, motor home, or temporary living quarters be allowed.
4. Motorcycles, ATV’s and off-road vehicles shall not be operated in the community.
5. Not more than two snowmobiles shall be operated from any one residence. Between 9 am and 10 pm such vehicles may only be used to access trails outside the community.
6. There shall be no unattended fires anywhere at any time.
7. Dogs shall be confined to owners’ premises and shall not be allowed to roam unattended throughout Association property. All dogs should have a collar identifying the dog’s name and owner’s telephone number.
8. The speed limit in the community is 15 mph or less.
9. DUMPSTER GUIDELINES
a. The dumpster is located on the east side of the east exit road behind a fence.
b. Only typical consumer garbage that is placed in bags may be placed in the dumpster.
c. Break down all cardboard boxes to leave room for other trash.
d. There is a sliding door at the back of the dumpster. If the front is full use the back door.
e. The following items may NOT be left at the dumpster (large furniture, construction materials, tires, auto batteries, chemicals, paint, etc.).
f. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING ON THE GROUND OUTSIDE THE DUMPSTER.
10. PLEASE RECYCLE
a. Returnable cans and bottles: May be taken to Family Fare, Meijer or Walmart
b. Containers and Paper: May be taken to the Ga***rd Recycling Center, located at 931 S. Otsego Ave. next to Jay’s Sporting Goods.
c. Building Materials: May be taken to Habitat for Humanity Restore, located at 526 Edelweiss Village Parkway, near Lowes. They will take reusable furniture, appliances, cabinets, windows, doors, lumber, hardware, tools and plumbing supplies.
d. Household Items: May be taken to Goodwill Drop off Center, on M32 west of I 75. They will take clothing, sporting goods, house goods and computers.
