🧁 DESSERT AUCTION 🍰

We are very excited for this announcement and have a great addition to this year’s banquet!

The Ga***rd High School Culinary Arts Class has agreed to help us out with a DESSERT AUCTION! This will give another opportunity to raise money for our community. But, what is much bigger, these students have this opportunity to show off their culinary talents along with learning skills that can help them get started with their bright futures! 🧑🏽‍🍳👩🏼‍🎓

At the banquet, we will treat the dessert auction like a standard silent auction. Put a bid on your favorite dessert you’d like to share with your table, take home to your family or even gift to someone else!

Proceeds from the dessert auction will be split 50/50 between the Otsego Wildlife Legacy Society - OWLS and the GHS Culinary Arts Program!! 🤗

A big thank you to the students and their fearless leader, Laura Korff for helping us make this happen!

⛵ Thanks to the OWLS Flag Project, four students had the opportunity to learn about sailing and the Great Lakes aboard a ship that teaches environmental education on Lake Charlevoix. From life jacket training to studying shipwrecks, depths, temperatures, trade winds, and navigation, the students gained hands-on experience and a deeper appreciation for our waters.

🦉 Supporting outdoor education is at the heart of the OWLS mission. We’re proud to help make experiences like this possible!

OWLS is proud to donate to the HeadWaters Land Conservancy Summer Youth Outreach Program for the 3rd year in a row. 🥳

This program consists of six forest school sessions held on Headwaters Land Conservancy nature preserves in Otsego County as well as Junior Ranger Activity booklets for families to conduct their own self-guided outdare activities thorough the summer.
