Eight Winds Aikido Society

Eight Winds Aikido Society Gautier, Ms. Carmen Pelusi Sensei created Eight Winds Aikido Society in 1984. Pelusi Sensei calls his style of Aikido Takemusu.

His original intention was to pass on his knowledge to a handful of students. That handful of students has become thousands over the years. Pelusi Sensei is harmony in motion, with the sensitivity, flow and blending of evasion and control with his gentle softness going from one technique to another, with a never ending form. His teaching of unlimited creativity continues to build with variations a

nd combinations not thought possible, his informal, easy going manner, and years of training makes it look so simple and effortless, but most of all he makes it fun to train.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Motomichi Anno Sensei.
He was one of the pioneers of aikido worldwide. Not only was he a student of O Sensei, but at the age of 25, he joined Hikitsuchi Sensei's Kumano Juku Dojo.

Today, December 14th, marks the birthday of O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba, the Founder of Aikido.

Born 142 years ago in what is now Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, his vision has since blossomed, with Aikido now practiced all over the globe.

We pause today to express our deepest gratitude for the creation of Aikido.

It is our immense joy to continue sharing and practicing this art with all of you, today and every day!
