🐻UPDATE -- Visitors are welcome to once again use the dispersed camping area on Commissary Ridge.

While camping, practicing bear safety remains important and even more so during periods of increased activity.
✅Store food & scented stuff in bear resistant containers or locked in your vehicle.
✅Make noise on trails so you don’t surprise a bear.
Give bears space — back up and let them do their thing.
✅Do not feed wildlife. Ever.
✅Stay calm, slowly back away, and speak firmly if you encounter a bear.

Unpicked fruit trees attract bears to your neighbourhood! If you have extra apples, please consider donating them to these places.

Consider pruning your trees to keep fruit manageable, or removing or replacing them with a non-fruit-bearing tree!
