🔥 UPDATED COUNTY BURN BAN NOTICE 🔥

County Judge Rob Erwin has signed an updated county burn ban that removes the previous allowance for burning in a barrel.

Effective immediately, please review the updated burn ban requirements and ensure all outdoor burning complies with the current order.

As conditions remain dry, we ask everyone to use extreme caution with any activity that could potentially start a wildfire. Help us protect our homes, property, and community.

Before you respond to the person who just upset you, pray for them.
Not the: "Lord, please show them how wrong they are."
Actually pray for them.
Their heart. Their family. Their struggles. Their relationship with God.
Then come back to the conversation.
It's harder to treat someone like an enemy after you've sincerely brought them before God.

Media Release ***UPDATE 9:00 PM, August 27***

No interruptions to water services are expected. Power to the Intake Plant has been restored and is being tested for reliability.

The listed restrictions will remain in effect until 5:00 PM on Friday, August 28, to ensure that the water system is able to recharge/refill and service interruptions are avoided. The restrictions do allow for normal household use, and no boil notice is anticipated.

We appreciate the public’s cooperation and patience as we work to keep drinking water flowing to the citizens of Gatesville, its surrounding communities, North Fort Hood, and the TDCJ properties.
