We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Virginia Housing’s Angel Tree program for their generous gift donation to our Christmas CART program this year. The gifts were delivered in their mobile Mortgage Bus, cleverly disguised as “Santa’s Sleigh.” This innovative Mobile Mortgage Office brings essential mortgage services to rural Virginia, ensuring access to home loans and grants for underserved communities. Its dual role as a “Santa Sleigh” is truly remarkable!

Christmas CART applications will be taken on Thursday, October 16 at Gate City United Methodist Church from 1 pm - 3:30 pm. If you haven't been able to make it to any other sign up locations you can always stop by this site to get signed up.

Families with children please bring the following information:
1. Your child's clothing sizes (pants, shirts, and underwear)
2. Your child's toy wishes (no video games or gaming devices)
3. A valid government issued photo ID for yourself.
4. Proof you have sole legal custody of your child and your child's social security number.

Reminder: To ensure compliance with our program guidelines, ONLY legal guardians or parents with full custody may sign up their children for gifts. Grandparents who do not have legal custody are not eligible to register on behalf of their grandchildren.

1. Your child's clothing sizes (pants, shirts, and underwear)
2. Your child's toy wishes (no video games or gaming devices)
3. A valid government issued photo ID for yourself.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!
The 2025 Christmas CART application schedule!
Mark your calendar for the location that best fits your schedule.

You will need to bring:
A valid government issued Photo ID.
Proof of Residence: Documentation such as a Utility Bill, lease or mortgage paperwork showing your address.
Proof of sole custody or guardianship of your child (such as Birth certificates or Custody papers).
Clothing sizes: Specific sizes your child wears.
Wish List: A few toy suggestions to help with toy purchases. We do not gift gaming systems or video games.
