Gate City Civitan Club, Inc. The club is guided by the Civitan Motto: " Builders of good citizenship." The local civitan meets at 6:30 pm each Thursday at the Gate City Town Hall.

We are a non-profit group of volunteers who work together vigorously through donations and fundraisers to provide events and services to the children of the local communities. The civitan initially focused on helping the school band with purchasing uniforms and instruments. "Help the band through Civitan." might have been the informal slogan. The Civitan also donates to other local charities in

cluding the Food Pantry, Imagination Library and the Fishing Day At Natural Tunnel to name a few. A Spring Picnic in the park and a Christmas party for the children as well as a dinner to honor the Clergy are a few annual events sponsored by the Civitan. Our club welcomes anyone looking to make a difference in the community to come to one of our meetings on any Thursday at 6:30pm at the Gate City, Va Town Hall. Our Civitan club is always looking for new members. You can never have too many people when it comes to helping the children.
