Future voters are what's up this Wednesday‼

Scouting America Troop 6 of Gastonia recently toured our office, where Director Adam Ragan gave an overview of elections and voting. Members of the co-ed group are working on the Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge.

Exploring civics prepares youths to be active, responsible citizens. We encourage future voters to accompany parents to the polls, and welcome opportunties to speak (or provide educational materials) to classrooms/groups.

It's been a busy couple of months and this month was Cooking and Games themed. We cooked on the Thanksgiving Campout, Scouted for Food this past Weekend, so we just did a Game Night at the meeting tonight. Tons of Fun.

Winterfest, an event for Explorers, Venturers, Sea Scouts and older Scouts BSA youth, will take place from Feb. 6–8, 2026, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

We are now officially a Scouting Family troop!!!!

This means that we can continue to support the mental, physical and Leadership development young men and women in our troop, as a whole troop.

We have an amazing youth led program that works to grow self confidence and leadership skills.

We take our responsibilities as adult leaders of a “co-ed” unit very seriously. There are specific Scouting America rules that we follow for a safe environment for all our scouts.

Busy September and October. Backpack Camping, Earl Tindol Ford Car Show, Cotton Ginning Days, Cycling Merit Badge Saturday, Camporee. These Scouts are awesome! Stay Tuned for November and December..Scouting for Food, Thanksgiving Campout, Hot Cocoa Fridays and Saturdays in McCadenville and Operation Christmas Child.
