Gaston Concert Association 2025-2026 Season

The 2025-2026 Season will be very exciting. All concerts except Music of Christmas, will be held at First Assembly Church located at 777 South Myrtle School Road in Gastonia. The Music of Christmas concert will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church located at 805 South York Street also in Gastonia. Each concert will begin at 7:30 pm. The concerts are as follows:

Rozlyn Sorrell Friday, March 21, 2025-7:30 pm

When Rozlyn Sorrell sings her signature “I’ve Got to Sing My Song,” it is undiluted, pure, organic truth.

With her six octave range, Rozalyn serves up a little something for everyone; from traditional, classic contemporary and inspirational to smooth jazz sounds and more in the style of Yolonda Adams, Bannie Mason, Cece Winanas and Sandi Patty.

A New York native, Rozlyn spent a number of years performing in music and film in Los Angeles before relocating to North Carolina where she operates Vocal Precision Studio, a private vocal coaching business while expanding her concert touring and work in film, television and music.

She has performed or recorded with artists including Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Al Jarreau, Cece Winans and others. Rozlyn has been a featured soloist with the North Carolina Symphony since 2004 and is a regularly featured soloist with the Durham Symphony as well.

Admission is $30.00 for individuals not currently members of the Gaston Concert Association.

Celebrating Christmas With Organ & Brass
Matthew Noonan and The Gold Street Quintet

Known for his passionate and inspiring performances, Matthew Noonan has given concerts in some of the greatest venues throughout Europe, Latin America and South America. Matthew Noonan is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, The Greatbach School of Music at Houghton University, and the Fredonia School of Music. Since his European debut in Paris at the age of 20, Mr. Noonan’s performances have delighted audiences and have been hailed as both imaginative and dynamic. Popular with all ages, Matthew Noonan has performed for royalty as well as for thousands of children through family and school concerts.

Joining Matthew Noonan will be the Gold Street Quintet. Led by Reverend Dr. Chris Murphy playing Tuba, the Gold Street Quintet also includes Andy Washburn and Kevin Clary playing Trumpet, Ruthie Rowell playing French Horn, and Les Dix playing Trombone.
