With more than 10 years of progressive Community Action and Head Start leadership experience, Ms. Thomas brings a proven commitment to children, families, employees, and the communities we serve. Her leadership, strategic vision, professionalism, compassion, and dedication to excellence have made a lasting impact on Gaston Community Action.
As CEO, Ms. Thomas will provide strategic leadership across the Agency while working alongside the Board, Policy Council, employees, community partners, and funding agencies to strengthen programs, expand partnerships, and advance our mission.

Today was the first day of staggered entry at Gaston Community Action Head Start, and our little ones in Group A did an AMAZING job! 💙💛
We are so proud of how well they transitioned, explored, learned, and made themselves at home. 🥰

Today at Gaston Community Action Head Start, all of our centers welcomed students and families for Head Start Hello! Our children and parents had the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher, explore their classroom, and get excited for the new school year! 🏫✨

💙 Head Start Hello at Gaston Community Action! 💙

Today was a wonderful day across Gaston Community Action Head Start as all of our Head Start centers participated in Head Start Hello! 🎉

Our students and their parents had the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher, visit their classroom, explore their learning environment, and begin building those important connections that make the start of a new school year so special. 🏫✨

We loved seeing the excitement on our children’s faces and the engagement of our families as they stepped into their classrooms and prepared for an amazing year of learning, growing, and thriving together!

At Gaston Community Action Head Start, we believe that family engagement starts from day one. ❤️

A special thank you to our dedicated teachers, center managers, FSA’s, site coordinators, and entire Head Start team for creating warm, welcoming environments for our children and families.
