🌱💚 Let’s take a moment to recap some of the amazing gardening activities that took place at the Deaton Garden of Love!
Our students were fully invested in the gardening experience, learning firsthand how vegetables grow from seed to harvest. Not only did they help plant and care for the garden, but they also had the opportunity to enjoy eating the vegetables they grew themselves!
Throughout the project, our teachers and staff worked alongside the children, helping them learn about the plants, the growing process, and the importance of healthy eating. Everyone rolled up their sleeves, got their hands dirty, and embraced the joy of learning through experience.
We were also thrilled to have parents actively participate in this journey. Families joined us to read gardening-themed stories, assist with gardening crafts, and work alongside the children in the garden. Their involvement made the experience even more meaningful and memorable.
This is a wonderful example of the strong partnership between our families and Head Start. Together, we create engaging learning opportunities that support children’s growth, curiosity, and success. Thank you to everyone who helped make the Deaton Garden of Love such a special experience! 🌻🥕🍅
