Gaston County activists who rallied the community to join the January 9, 2024, Gaston County Commissioners meeting to express opposition to the county retaining the inappropriate and divisive monument symbolizing treason and insurrection in front of our courthouse, unfortunately, we must inform you that due to inclement weather and tornado warnings, we are rescheduling this event to align with the Gaston County Commissioner’s meeting on January 23, 2024. Keep an eye on Gaston County Community Talk's page for updates and details about an upcoming virtual town hall addressing the County-owned monument erected during segregation and gifted to OUR COUNTY.
