Update on Lawrence,
Hello everyone, I thought it would be a good time to give y’all an update. Y’all have been on this journey with us from the start. Lawrence is 3 months post op, and for the most part is feeling great. He states, “he didnt know how bad he felt until now”! It took him pretty much getting a new heart to tell the difference, truly insane. Therapy was 2 months behind, so he is just starting therapy. It is 3 days a week for the next 3 months. We have had some bumps in our road along the way, but I guess that’s to be expected with all what’s happen in the past couples of months.
With the few bumps in the road came hospital visits due to chest pains, that they thought could be another blockage, (long story short) we followed up with his amazing doctor yesterday and they did an echo and a EKG. NO MORE BLOCKAGE’S. The EKG is normalizing which is GREAT news, before it showed some abnormality. The echo showed that his heart is still on the slushy side from the heart attack, we were hoping that at this point it would be looking somewhat better. He is suppose to be at 50 and he is at 40-45 so borderline. Again, this is GREAT news because it’s showing the road to improvement. Doctor stated, this can be fixed with upping the dose of some of the medicine he is on.
Life for us has slowed down SO MUCH. Life nowadays we don’t do much of anything. I promise we are not avoiding anyone, but still just focusing on the road of recovery for Lawrence. Lawrence’s main focus is on himself to get better/stronger/ healthier. We know sooner then later we will be able to get back to the life we once had, but for now taking it slow is KEY. We are on the right path.
The doctor stated it will take Lawrence a full year to be back to 100% and that 100% might never be the 100% he was before surgery.
Our life’s currently been changed and at this point we are just figuring out what this new life has in store for us! We are still just taking it as it comes on a daily bases because there is a lot of knews for us that we are still figuring out.

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts, for the donations, buying a shirt, football square, donating stuff for the car show, showing up at the car show, signing up for the car show, baking, the list goes on and on. Because of each and every one of you, we have been able to make it these past couple of months! From the little to big jester from everyone has helped us out more then yall would ever know!
Just know anything/everything anyone has told us to apply for has been denied or he isnt qualified for it. It’s truly because of you that our ends have been meeting.
Thanks to our family/friends for being there every single step of the way. Espically our friends that are still there for us when we both had to take a back seat in friendships during this time.
Most importantly, thank the man above! Thanks for giving my husband a 3rd shot at life! Without you none of this would be possible. Thanks for hearing our prayers and continue to hear them. Thanks for allowing Lawrence Bordelon to truly be a testament of your faith as he is a walking miracle!!!
