Perry’s Posse is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was satarted in 2014. We give financial, emotional and spiritual help to active cancer patients throughout St. John, St. James and St. Charles Parishes.
My name is Tanya Roccaforte and I am the founder of this organization. Perry’s Posse was formed when my godchild (Perry Levet) loss his battle with leukemia. His last wish was for me to form as organization to raise funds to help the active cancer patients in the River Parishes. So I gathered up 17 family and friends, some are cancer survivors or some have family and friends that have cancer or who lost their battle with cancer. So all of us are aware of the journey.
The difference between our organization and all the others is that we give 100% of what we raise back to our patients. We do not take a salary or have a CEO !! Since 2014 we have raised well over $150,000 and have helped nearly 300 patients. Every cent has been given back.
