URGENT NEED!!! Due to the recent devastating storm -- Our Shelter, The Humane Society of Northwest Indiana is in dire need for the following supplies!!!
* WET PUPPY FOOD (Pedigree Brand preferred)
* WET DOG FOOD (Pedigree Brand preferred)
* WET KITTEN FOOD (Fancy Feast preferred)
* WET CAT FOOD (Fancy Feast preferred)
* These are the brands the animals are used to eating and sticking to these brands will prevent any possible digestive issues from happening.
We are also in of bottled bleach for cleaning and sterilizing.
Because the POWER IS STILL OUT in the Miller area of Gary and we are dealing with some damages from the storm, we are running portions of the day with a generator for lights while cleaning the facility, along with visiting, walking and playing with the animals.
However, the shelter remains CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC for the time being.
As always -- TOM LOUNGES RECORD BIN (218 Main Street) in downtown Hobart -- is a designated drop off location for all donations to the Humane Society of Northwest Indiana.
The record store is open 7 days a week (1pm-6pm are drop off hours). Year 'round, we are always happy to collect items needed to keep the shelter operating and keep the animals in our care healthy and safe.
