SHINE Recovery Café is for youth ages 13–18 on a path toward recovery from addiction, whatever the root of it. Weekly recovery circles, resource referrals, and life-skills education.

The most dangerous hours in a teenager’s week aren’t at night. They’re between 3 PM and dinner.

That’s when nobody’s watching. That’s when “nothing to do” turns into something to do.

Flourish’s Youth Mentorship program gives young men ages 13–21 somewhere to be on Wednesdays — basketball, Bible study, career guest speakers, and a free meal, alongside men who keep showing up week after week. Not once. Every week.

We've been through a lot over the past few weeks, and by nature, our response to how we're doing is “I’m fine”. But are you?

Our response isn't motivated by a sense of dishonesty; as a community, we’ve struggled with therapy itself. But we have to get over the stigma. One way to do that is to find a therapist who understands our journey. We offer that to youths and adults in Gary.

Licensed clinicians. No cost. You don’t need insurance, and you don’t need to be in crisis to qualify; you’re allowed to get help before it gets bad.
