Marshalltown Terrace would like to extend our warmest THANKS to Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson and Councilwoman Carolyn Rogers for all their support during this time of transformation of our community!!! I see many are out taking advantage of the beautiful weather and getting that jump start on their lawns. It is a beautiful sight to see a neighborhood all striving for the same goals...A BEAUTIFUL AND SAFE HAVEN FOR OUR FAMILIES TO RESIDE... THANKS Marshalltown Terrace for coming together and working together...WORKING TOGETHER WORKS!!! Lets all reassure everyone that Marshalltown Terrace has PRIDE IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD!!! ALL ABOARD!!!

ANOTHER YEAR HAS COME AND GONE AND WERE BLESSED TO HAVE THIS YEAR START OUT SO BEAUTIFUL! EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A MILD WINTER. MTTC CONTINUED TO WORK TO KEEP THE COMMUNITY SECURED AND STRONG. WE HAVE BOARDED MORE ABANDONED HOMES AND ALSO HAD ONE EVEN TORN DOWN. TRYING TO KEEP THE CRIMES OF BURGLARY AND SQUATTERS OUT OF OUR COMMUNITY. WE ELIMINATED A FEW TRAP HOUSES AS WELL. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME, MATERIALS, OR MONEY; WE ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS THIS YEAR TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT TO KEEP UP THE WORK WE HAVE BEEN DOING. WE ARE A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. WE ARE MEETING WITH THE COUNCILWOMAN ROGERS AND MAYOR KAREN FREEMAN-WILSON THIS MONTH. WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK THEM BOTH FOR MAKING TIME IN THEIR BUSY SCHEDULES TO MEET WITH US (THE MARSHALLTOWN TERRACE COMMITTEE) TO BE SURE WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE FOR WHAT OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS AND IS STRIVING TO ACCOMPLISH IN HELPING OUR COMMUNITY MOVE FORWARD! GARY — Marshalltown Terrace was rotting from within. Houses in the subdivision, not far from the Lake Station border, stood empty and crumbling. Weeds ran amok along with crime and apathy. Even street signs disappeared, ripped away by scrappers who also boldly snatched aluminum siding

Marshalltown Terrace Committee and Residents would like to send Great Thanks out to Carole Carlson and Stephanie Dowell of the Post Tribune for having our story as your Headline. We have PRIDE in our neighborhood and we want the world to know. The hard work and effort put into fulfilling Apostle East's blue prints on taking our community and its beauty back!

The community has really come together this past week..working very hard to improve...Thanks to all the residents! We still have a lot of work that needs to be done with our community...We really need assistance in the alley on Central...Thank You in advance to all who can contribute their time and effort!!!
