🚨 **FOOD & RESOURCE DISTRIBUTION TOMORROW!** 🚨

Tomorrow, **Monday, August 24**, **St. Timothy Church** and the **Urban League** will host a community food and resource distribution.

Both organizations will receive truckloads of essential items from **Walmart** to help serve families throughout our community. If you or someone you know needs assistance, please take advantage of this opportunity.

I previously posted their link and will repost it with the complete distribution details. Please follow the information provided by the Urban League and St. Timothy Church regarding the time, location, and requirements.

**Share this announcement—someone in your neighborhood may need these resources.**

This is what regional cooperation looks like: connecting organizations with resources and getting those resources directly into the hands of the people.

**Community first. Collaboration in action.**

THIS IS WHAT REGIONAL COOPERATION LOOKS LIKE!

This morning, the Gary Food Collective worked alongside our counterparts at the Hobart Township Trustee’s Office. We helped secure Walmart trucks for their community, then examined the resources each of us had available and strategically exchanged items.

Why? Because the people of Hobart deserve to receive what they need—and the people of Gary deserve the same.

We did not compete over resources. We coordinated resources. We understood that need does not stop at a city limit—and neither should cooperation.

This is exactly what the co-op is all about: communities, organizations and leaders pooling their resources, building strategic relationships and ensuring that help reaches the right people at the right time.

Early next week, you will begin hearing from our Community Resource Ambassadors—trained and committed volunteers who will help move resources directly into our neighborhoods.

We will also launch REGION RISING: The Community Restoration Initiative, our organized effort to help restore homes, strengthen neighborhoods and move our region from emergency response into long-term recovery.

We have made some incredible connections and established powerful strategic relationships—but this is only the beginning. The Gary Food Collective is not here for a moment. We are here for the long haul.

Today was a great day for Hobart, a great day for Gary and a great day for our entire region.

When communities cooperate, resources multiply—and the whole region rises!

**SERVICE DOESN’T PUNCH A CLOCK**

Around 9:00p.m. this evening, a woman stopped because her phone was nearly dead and she needed somewhere safe to charge it.

We saw her—and we didn’t look the other way.

We prepared her a fish dinner, brought the children outside to keep her company, made sure she felt safe, and gave her a portable battery bank so she could continue charging her phone wherever she went.

This is what has been happening throughout our community—neighbors seeing neighbors, meeting immediate needs, and serving even after hours.

Sometimes helping someone doesn’t require a meeting, a program, or a press conference. It simply requires seeing a person in need and deciding, **“You will not face this moment alone.”**

This is the **Gary Food Collective** in action. When the doors should be closed and the day should be over, compassion remains awake.

**Community doesn’t have business hours—and neither does love.**

Talent can impress people, but the anointing transforms them. A title may give someone a position, but only God gives spiritual power. The anointing is not for performance, fame, or personal glory—it is given so that lives can be changed and God can be glorified.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me…” —Luke 4:18

Simply stated: The anointing is God placing His supernatural ability upon your natural life so you can carry out His will.
