DancExcel Champion Center for Creative Arts Education, we offer dynamic, and unique artistic programming that motivates and challenges our students to be the best they can be. DancExcel was founded in the belief that movement and dance-centered learning can help children to acquire the skills, discipline, and confidence to achieve success both in school and in their personal lives. We employ an arts-education curriculum, which helps school-aged children (ages 2 and up) to build stronger relationships between the principles of movement and academic skills.
The DancExcel Academy offers an intense level of training and development for serious young dancers. Academy members will work in a unique focused environment that is specifically geared to mentor, train, and set the stage for their success. Expectations will be extremely high as we set out to achieve the following goals:
-To give young dancers the opportunity to grow and develop as artists.
-To help them develop a positive self-image through dance training and performance.
-To expose them to a curriculum of diversified training of the highest professional caliber and a variety of professional teachers, artists, and guests.
The Academy provides a comprehensive curriculum for the committed student, ages nine and up. Dx Academy students are expected to have a full grasp of Ballet, Tap, and Modern dance techniques and are required to demonstrated mastery of a set of skills for each style in order to be accepted into the program. Academy students are required to take Saturday technique classes as well as African, Dunham, Hip Hop, and Contemporary Choreography. Master dance classes and choreography with professional artists, speaking, and acting workshops will also be offered in rotation.
