FOR OUR HANDICAPPED/DISABLED, ELDERLY & VETERANS
In response to the August 11th storms in Gary, Indiana, Patience Talent Agency, Inc., along with participating community organizations, is coming together to provide a special relief event for our handicapped/disabled residents, senior citizens and veterans.
📅 TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2026
⏰ 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
📍 FIRE STATION PARK
1618 Adams St., Gary, IN 46407
♿ 👴🏾 🇺🇸 THIS RELIEF EVENT IS SPECIFICALLY FOR HANDICAPPED/DISABLED RESIDENTS, ELDERLY RESIDENTS & VETERANS.
🚗 DRIVE-UP OR WALK-UP
If you are coming on behalf of someone else, you will be required to sign that person up using their address. Their relief items will be delivered directly to them.
🪪 IMPORTANT — WHAT TO BRING
Some form of identification and documentation will be required.
Please bring:
• A picture ID OR another document showing your name, AND
• Something showing eligibility for this relief event.
Eligibility documentation may include a benefit card, benefit/award letter, veteran documentation, disability documentation, or another document showing that you receive qualifying benefits or that you are disabled, a veteran, or an elderly/senior resident.
Please bring whatever documentation you have available that can reasonably verify your eligibility.

If your agency or organization has leftover relief supplies, resources, products, goods or other items that could benefit Gary's handicapped/disabled residents, elderly residents and veterans, we would greatly appreciate your support.
Businesses, vendors, suppliers, nonprofits, churches, community organizations and other agencies that would like to contribute are encouraged to contact us.
⚠️ IMPORTANT DEADLINE FOR VENDORS & SUPPLIERS
All participating vendors and suppliers need to have their donations, supplies, products or participation arrangements confirmed NO LATER THAN TUESDAY MORNING, SEPTEMBER 1ST.
