Whenever possible, we aim to pave the road toward empowerment, enabling those we serve to thrive. Established in 1937, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Gary has served individuals and families across Northwest Indiana for nearly 90 years. Rooted in Catholic social teaching, we provide help and hope to our neighbors in Lake, Porter, LaPorte and Starke counties, serving people of all faiths and backgrounds. Through programs including Community Outreach, Hunger Relief and the Women’s Care Center, Catholic Charities responds to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances with compassion, dignity and practical support. COMMUNITY GUIDELINES: Catholic Charities welcomes respectful conversation and engagement on our social media pages.
