Sterling Strong Foundation The Sterling Strong Foundation offers support and comfort to parents of children experiencing chronic diseases and long ICU stays away from home.

The Sterling Strong Foundation is named after Sterling Nova Lynn Raspe, who was the true epitome of strength. She endured 9 surgeries in her short 8 months on earth, battling Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and Kabuki Syndrome. The mission of the Sterling Strong Foundation is to help families in situations similar to ours: rare & chronic illnesses, multi-system affecting conditions, and long ICU s

tays far from home. We want to help lift some financial burdens for other parents so they can be with their children in the hospital. We want to help make the parents' and children’s time there more comfortable; we know how very hard it is. The Sterling Strong Foundation, Inc., is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit.

It will be Tuesday March 28th 1:00-7:00 at Cross Point Church in Crown Point!
If you donated at our last blood drive in September and haven’t donated since you are eligible to donate again!

The blood supply has now stabilized, but is always vulnerable to shortages. The Sterling Strong Foundation is highlighted as one of Red Cross Premier Partners, how cool! And now with doing 2 blood drives in a year would get us to their Pump it up status, which would make us 1 of 19 in the US 😱

In January 2022, we appeared on ABC7 Chicago to advertise the Great Chicago Blood Drive, in a bid to get more people to sign up to donate blood due to a national blood shortage.

Just as most cars need to be refueled constantly, so does the nation’s blood supply. The American Red Cross has faced a concerning drop in blood and platelet donations this summer. Donors are needed to make an appointment to give in August to help prevent a blood shortage.
