Through The Village Eatery WATV, we will be donating and serving FREE FOOD to our community:

FREE COMMUNITY RIDES TOMORROW 🚗

We Are The Village is continuing to support our Gary community following the storm.

Tomorrow from 12 PM to 4 PM, I will be providing FREE rides for residents who need transportation to:

• Grocery stores
• Food and supply giveaways
• Other local disaster relief resources

I have a 7 passenger vehicle, so space is limited and rides will be provided based on availability.

If you or an elderly neighbor, parent, or family impacted by the storm needs help getting to essential resources, please reach out.

No charge. Just neighbors helping neighbors.

Our Village Needs the Village. ❤️

Since the August 11 storm, We Are The Village has been dealing with the same devastation affecting so many families throughout Gary.

Our operations have been disrupted, our employees have lost work and wages, and we are still working toward fully reopening.

But even while we were affected, we still showed up for Gary.

We helped provide hundreds of meals, baby food, supplies, and assistance to families and elderly residents throughout our community.

Now, we are asking for help.

We have launched a $25,000 Disaster Recovery Fund to help support our employees, stabilize our programs, reopen our doors, replace losses, and continue helping Gary recover.

We spent this disaster taking care of Gary.

Now we need our Village to help us recover.

❤️ UPDATE GARY: WE NOW HAVE 300 MEALS!

The Village is showing up! Tomorrow, We Are The Village will be giving away 300 FREE MEALS to families in our community.

After 8 days without power, we know refrigerators and freezers have been emptied, groceries have been lost, and families have had unexpected expenses. We want to help however we can.
