Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry

Established in 2011 in rural Dekalb County, IN, the program began by providing meat to a single food bank in Northeast IN.

Established in 2011 in rural Dekalb County, Indiana with a meat donation to a single Northeastern food bank, this unique program is partnered with meat processors, food banks, pantries, and related organizations throughout the state. Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a unique program that unites a network of community resources all the way from farm and field to

freezer to fork. We now partner with meat processors, food banks, pantries, and related organizations throughout the state. Through grants, financial donations, and special events, we work to cover the processing costs for donated livestock and deer. Together, we can help Indiana residents experiencing food insecurity receive nutritious meat for their dinner tables.

Thanks to Wabash Rotary Club and Wabash County United Fund for putting on this event helping raise funds for great causes! And to Honeywell Golf Course! It is a hot day but many dedicated golfers showed up!

We had a great time this week at the Allen County Fair in Fort Wayne!

A big thank you to the bidders who showed up to support local 4-H members and helped make livestock donations possible. Your generosity helps turn hard work in the show ring into nutritious meat for the forks of Indiana families.

We are also grateful for the volunteers who helped make everything run smoothly, and to Integrity Meats for their continued partnership in processing donated animals into ground meat for food banks and pantries.

Most importantly, thank you to the 4-H members. Your dedication, responsibility, and care for your animals—day in and day out—does not go unnoticed. You are making a real difference in your communities.

We are proud to be part of this effort to fight hunger in Indiana.

We were thrilled to be the Community Organization of the Game at the Fort Wayne TinCaps on June 2!

It was a wonderful chance to connect with supporters, share our mission, and watch our Executive Director throw out the first pitch.
Thank you to the TinCaps and everyone who came out to support Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry! Together, we can provide the missing ingredient that turns pantry staples into a complete, nutritious meal for our hungry neighbors!
