Garretson 5 Day Club will be held July 11 - 17 at the Softball Park Shelter each day from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Kids 5 yr old through 5th grade are invited and no pre-registration is needed. 5 Day Club is sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship and will have trained staff to do the teachings of Jesus. NO RENOVATION CHURCH ON SUNDAY!
Renovation Church is going to make some changes. At our planning meeting last Wednesday, we agreed to free up Sundays so that our people could go to other Church Services. We also agreed that we want to continue to keep our Church (the people) together. We would have liked to meet on Thursdays at the Legion, but there are conflicts with that day, so we will begin meeting at the Legion this coming Wednesday, April 13, at 7-8 pm. We will continue to go through the book of Genesis with Steve Dueis as our leader, and then we should have time for discussion.
We also agreed to donate $500 to Blue Dragon Academy Childcare for their new addition. Moreover, last week we agreed to donate $500 to Leslie Black’s friend who is working with “Save the Innocents” in Ukraine, as well as $500 to Kris Frerk’s former Ukrainian exchange student (now relocated to Germany). In the last couple months, we have also been able to pay rent for people in our community who needed help. Life is good! We are able to do these things because we have generous people and also because our expenses are minimal. BTW, Kris has asked us to gather clothes for kids (

Hello Renovation Church Family ! This is not just a meeting for our leadership team. Its for everyone who cares about the future of Renovation Church.

1) Renovation Church is going to meet this Wednesday April 6th at 7pm at Tuckers Walk.
Renovation Church is at a point to talk about the structure, goals and vision of what we think God wants for the church. Right now we are meeting as a house church. . . what needs to be changed ??
Here is a guideline question to use as we all will take a turn in expressing what we would like to say,. . .
"What does Renovation need to do?"
***Come prepared not only with your concerns but have an idea to share of what your solution would be needed to get there. (In your opinion, what would be your plan and how would you solve it)
2) The study of Genesis gets more and more interesting each time we meet. Today we read and learned about Jacob 1) having children (with 4 different women) that started the 12 tribes AND 2) using in today's terms, "genetic modification" in sheep and goats (Read Genesis 29 & 30). Then look up agouti gene . Science is in the Bible !! The diet of the female will determine whether the agouti gene is turned on or off (comeandreasonministries.com) and causes specific outcome of the offspring.
3) The study of Matthew is a great guideline on the greatest sermon ever told. . . The Sermon on the Mount and we are just starting out with Matthew 5 with "The Beatitudes". Pastor Jonathon says if you replace the word "blessed" with the word "congratulations", you find the true meaning of the kingdom that not of this world. Try it ! God to Matthew 5: 3-11. For example, the NLT version says vs. 3: God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him. The way Jesus is saying is saying is "God congratulates those who are poor (in spirit) and realize their need for him.
4) Renovation Church is going to partner with the Garretson Park Board to host a movie in the park. We will help with equipment, set up and tear down. This will happen the Friday of Jesse James Days.

PRAYER is needed for Diane Lentz's son Jarod as he has been in the hospital. The newest update is that he has a unknown strain of pneumonia in the upper area near his heart. He has tested positive for tuberculosis and will be tested again in a few days (praying it is negative). Pray for peace, healing and faith during the waiting game for more results and answers.

Last Sunday we said goodbye to Jonathan and Molly and their kids Daniel, Samuel, Joseph and Wendy. They started our children's program and we were so fortunate to have them drive from Sioux Falls to teach Renovation kids. Blessings as you continue to use your gifts! What a beautiful family.
