Brethren, From the Right Worshipful Grand Secretary Johnathan Underwood, the Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of North Carolina has come to a close.

294 Lodges (out of 323) and 861 Delegates were present.

The various reports were all received, recorded, and accepted.

The Budget for 2027 was passed.

And these men were elected to office:
Grand Master: Gilbert D. Bailey (693)
Deputy Grand Master: Michael A. Register (493)
Senior Grand Warden: Philip R. Johnson (106)
Junior Grand Warden: C. Alvin Billings, Jr. (409)
Grand Treasurer: Lewis R. Ledford (27)
Grand Secretary: Jonathan A. Underwood (770)

And, Kenneth W. Lambert (693) was appointed Junior Grand Steward.

It was a GREAT week of Masonry! Thank you, brethren, to all present, and to all of you across this great state for your dedication to our fraternity!

Aloha! Brethren. Vandora Brothers celebrated Masonry from the Pacific to Atlantic with the state of Hawaii this evening. We donned our favorite Hawaiian shirts and learned how Masonry has been and continues to be so formative in this great state. We came back to the Atlantic coast with good vibes, great music and a low country boil for dinner with wonderful dessert. Thanks everyone!

Brethren of Vandora Lodge No. 745,

What a day! On behalf of the Lodge, I want to offer my sincere thanks to every brother who showed up and showed out for our Sixth Annual Charity Car Show.

Events like this don’t happen by themselves. They happen because brothers are willing to do the little things and the big things—often without recognition—to make something special happen. From planning and preparation, to setting up, greeting guests, directing traffic, helping with the cars, judging, cleaning up, and everything in between, your diligence, energy, and willingness to serve made this day possible.

And what a day it was! The weather held out, the cars showed up, the people showed up, and families came together to enjoy a great day in our community. Most importantly, we gathered not simply for a car show, but for a purpose greater than ourselves: supporting North Carolina Masonic Charities and putting our Masonic values of brotherhood, charity, and service into action.

I am proud of the way Vandora Lodge No. 745 came together. Each of you contributed something—your time, your talents, your energy, your patience, or simply your willingness to say, “I’m here. What needs to be done?” That is Masonry at its best.

Thank you, brethren, for representing Vandora Lodge so well and for reminding our community that Freemasonry is not just something we talk about—it is something we do.

Well done, Brothers. You showed up. You showed out. And you made a difference.
