Adult PTSD seems to be a manifestation of some trauma in the adulthood… however the truth of the matter is that some people don’t develop PTSD while others do when exposed to the same traumatic situation. So PTSD is the result of the inability to handle traumatic situations appropriately.. which is because of what transpired in the childhood that didn’t allow the person to develop the necessary coping skills. Although, we cannot change our childhood, we can start the process of re-parenting our inner child now!
