Chris Parrish has received a FEMA grant for the building, which will double as a community center, but is asking Raleigh and Wake County for contributions, too.

Merry Christmas. This past Saturday, We had over 75 family photos with Santa and with CEF of Raleigh's help we were able to pass out gifts to parents of over 225 kids!

Well we do a lot to promote healthy eating and physical activity. BUT once in awhile we do break our habit! 250 pounds of candy. Gone in 45 minutes.

Just wrapping up our Healthy Places, Active Spaces grant that we were honored to be a part of for the last 3 years. Allowed us to create a nice park for the kids and families to use for a healthier lifestyle.

This week's activities include:
1. Bike Repair Shop for teens on Monday after school
2. Cooking classes with NC State Food Science students. Wednesday after school at office
3. CASL soccer starts this Wednesday the 26th. Will meet on Monday and Wednesday after school and have games on Saturdays. All at Parrish Manor soccer field
4. Girl Scouts meet on Saturdays at 10 am. At office
