When 32-year-old Tim Heatherly learned his kidneys were failing, dialysis became his lifeline — four exhausting hours a day, three days a week. Friends tried to help, but none were a match. Hope began to fade. Then, one simple Facebook post from his mom changed everything.

Just seven miles away, Joe Turner, a father of three and DoorDash driver, saw the message. Guided by faith, he decided to help a complete stranger — and turned out to be the perfect match.

Last month, Joe’s kidney became Tim’s kidney. The transplant was a success, and a beautiful friendship was born. “He’s doing something huge for a stranger,” Tim said. “It’s turned into a brotherhood.”
