Volunteer firefighters respond to emergencies at all hours, train year-round, and sacrifice time with their families to help others when they're needed most.

To every volunteer firefighter across the country: thank you for your courage, your commitment, and everything you do to keep your communities safe.

⭐️ ⭐️ UPDATE 7/1 - as of approximately 5pm, the TMobile equipment was repaired & operational again ⭐️ ⭐️

🚨 NOTICE 🚨

The T Mobile equipment on the tower in the McGregor area has been damaged and is out of service. There is no estimated date of when repairs will take place.

At this time, we’re unsure of service impacts to 911 & expect services and the ability to make calls to be unreliable & differ case by case. Please note, Clayton County dispatch does have the ability to receive texts if you have an emergency but cannot make a call, you can text 911.

We will post updates as they become available. Please share this & spread the word for emergency services purposes. Landlines are unaffected.

The Garnavillo Firefighters’ Association is accepting sealed bids for a 2012 Case M400T skid loader with tracks, bucket, & pallet forks; 24 volt, 284 hours.

Bids must be submitted in writing and received by 5/18/2026 at noon.

Bids can be mailed to PO Box 185, Garnavillo, IA 52049.

The seller reserves the right to accept or reject any & all bids.

We want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support the Garnavillo Fire Department at our annual pancake breakfast!
Your support means so much to our team and helps us continue serving and protecting our community. It was great seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones—we truly appreciate each and every one of you.
A big thank you as well to all the volunteers who helped make the morning such a success. We couldn’t do it without you!
We’re grateful to be part of such a supportive community.

Please stay weather aware this afternoon.

It’s looking like we may have an active weather afternoon/evening from 3-8pm. Severe weather could be impacting our area with main threats being large (2-3 inch) hail, 70+ mph winds, and potentially tornadoes. These storms could pop up quickly with little warning, so it is important to stay aware of the weather. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather notifications.
