We want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support the Garnavillo Fire Department at our annual pancake breakfast!
Your support means so much to our team and helps us continue serving and protecting our community. It was great seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones—we truly appreciate each and every one of you.
A big thank you as well to all the volunteers who helped make the morning such a success. We couldn’t do it without you!
We’re grateful to be part of such a supportive community.

Please stay weather aware this afternoon.

Please stay weather aware this afternoon.

It’s looking like we may have an active weather afternoon/evening from 3-8pm. Severe weather could be impacting our area with main threats being large (2-3 inch) hail, 70+ mph winds, and potentially tornadoes. These storms could pop up quickly with little warning, so it is important to stay aware of the weather. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather notifications.

Tornado siren testing TODAY at 10 AM! During Severe Weather Awareness Week, tornado sirens will be tested on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. This is only a test. It is also a great time to review your family’s severe weather plan, identify your safest shelter location, and make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts. An automatic crash alert saved a life when no one called 911. See how Dispatcher Janie Myers used RapidSOS to send help in 13 seconds, pulling Jeff Freed from a burning truck.
