🌹 Today we celebrate Saint Teresa of Jesus, the first Woman Doctor of the Church!

Born in 1515 in Spain, Teresa de Cepeda y Ahumada showed a deep love for God and a thirst for contemplation from an early age. At 18, she entered the convent, and throughout her life received mystical revelations that led her to reform religious life, bringing back the ideals of poverty, silence, and prayer within the Discalced Carmelites.

She founded many convents and wrote timeless spiritual works such as “The Interior Castle” and “The Way of Perfection.” She also left us her famous words:

“Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you;
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.”

In 1970, she was proclaimed Doctor of the Church, recognizing her spiritual wisdom and deep teaching for all believers.

May her life inspire us today to seek closeness with God, renew our hearts, and share peace and faith with those around us.

Do you know the “Good Pope”? Today we celebrate Saint John XXIII, a pontiff full of hope and humanity who left his mark on the 20th century.

Throughout his life, he witnessed two world wars and endured many hardships, yet he never lost his faith or his tenderness for people. He was elected the 261st Pope and surprised the world with his openness and desire for renewal.

His greatest work was convening the Second Vatican Council, an event that sought to bring the Church closer to the modern world, through dialogue, mercy, and understanding. Under his leadership, a window of hope was opened so that the Church could “breathe” with the people.

May his legacy inspire us today to be bridges of peace, tenderness, and renewal in our own time.
