Our Story

Charlise Rice is the Founder/Executive Director of Professional Career Development Services (PCDS). She was born and raised on the eastside of Detroit, Michigan. In 2013 she relocated to Dallas, Texas. She started PCDS in 2011 by teaching people how to get through job process instead of just supplying a job. In 2018, still wanting to help people with job preparations, she revamped and relaunched PCDS. Her passion is helping people overcome barriers to equip with knowledge, educate with understanding, teach life skills, encourage as well as motivate to empower people to have a better perspective on life circumstances. Charlise has earned her Master’s degree in Management in Nonprofit Leadership from New England College and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Management from University of Phoenix. She is an HR Specialist and utilizes her career experiences to help others. Her quote, “Knowledge is powerful but sharing knowledge is empowerment.” & “Use what you have so that you can get to where you are going”.

PCDS Mission Statement: To provide job preparation, career readiness skills and training resources to opportunity youth and adults in the Dallas County Texas area. Our goal is to encourage and motivate individuals to strive for growth, advancement, and/or continued education. In addition, it is our goal to create community partnerships with local business owners and community leaders who support our mission.

Continually helping anyone that ask all but with a focus on assisting disadvantaged workers, dislocated workers, relocated workers and disconnected youth (opportunity youth).
