North Cities Serve Day: Coming together to serve the community Part 3: There are so many ways to show God’s love. Today we helped build and install a disability ramp for a family in Oak Cliff. We saw a need and used the talents God has given us to fill it. We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ throughout the metroplex.

North Cities Serve Day: coming together to serve the community Part 2: There are so many ways to show God’s love. Today we helped the Stewpot sort, pack, and load up groceries for families in need. We are in tough times right now and so many are truly struggling, but these families truly appreciated not only that the Stewpot could help them with some extra food for their families, but that we took it an extra step to even help them get it all together and load it.

We love because he first loved us John 15:12-13

North Cities Serve Day: coming together to serve the community Part 1: there are so many ways to show God’s love. Today we went to Our Calling in Dallas and visited with the homeless. We laughed with our new friends and played games. We talked with them and sympathized with their struggles and the pain they have endured. We assisted in gathering clean clothing and shoes, toiletries for a private shower, and spent time with them while they ate and rested in a safe environment. Today, they were heard and they know someone cares.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ ……….. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

North Cities share the love of Christ at Feed My Starving Children yesterday. For just an hour and half service last night, we fed 68 children in 3rd world countries for an entire year! North cities children helped as well and are able to witness firsthand how they can make a difference. Hear the story of one family blessed by the love and support of this ministry and like minded people that have a heart to serve selflessly (in comments).
