As Masons we should never take a position to achieve a title nor to boost an ego. But rather it should be done to serve your brethren and to do for them as was done for you.
To lead is to raise your line up with respect, integrity and pride. So that in the future they may become better worshipful masters than you can ever be. After all, it is about the future of the craft, the raising of good men and the continued success of this fraternal order that we all love so much.
It is never about you or me, but always about we.
