Sierra Stompers Having fun 4 Wheeling in the Carson Valley and the surrounding areas We have one club meeting a month. No matter what we will be four wheeling.

It's generally a social event and it is when we discuss club info and decide what 4x4 run (s) we're going to do that month. We have at least one club run a month and sometimes several. During the winter months we stay lower in elevation due to heavy snow in the Sierra Mountains. Starting about May every year we head towards difficult trails like Barrett Lake, Rubicon, Fordyce and others. The snow,

rain, heat and cold it what makes it interesting any given month. By no means is anyone expected to wheel when they are uncomfortable or don't want to go. With good communication we will never get you on a trail or in a place you don't want to be. If you have a question, ASK! [email protected] is our email. It's checked weekly.

The Sierra Stompers Club (and name) is retiring in honor of Jake Munoz, the founder. The time has come for the Stompers to become a fond memory of friendship and adventures.

It’s been fun, camaraderie, and hard work by a select few over the many years. It is time for someone else to create something new with their own identity and build a new legacy.

While we appreciate the loyalty and desire for the club to continue, please respect the decision for the Stompers to fade into the amazing Nevada sunset. Thank you all for your support and the many years of stories and friendship.

As Jake would say, “until the next adventure”.

Hey Stompers,

Pine Nut Mtn Trail Assoc is having a cleanup next Sat Oct 14th at the Johnson Lane staging area.
Starting at 9AM.

Anyone that wants to help out would be appreciated.

Besides the usual crap there is a boat that will have to be cut up and moved and a refrigerator down in a gully.
There is always the usual shooting debris and general trash.
Pickup trucks and trailers will be helpful as well Jeeps and warm bodies.

All help will be appreciated!

If anyone here has ever had the opportunity to have Chip Mohrman help you out on the trail he is in need of your thoughts and prayers right now. He has had a below the knee amputation and is in the hospital recovering now. Chip is always the kind of guy to drop everything and help you out. If you know him in the 4wheel community he is a loyal friend. Copy and paste this to other groups that you think might know him. He is going to have a long road to recovery. If you don’t know him personally you might know his Jeep so I’m going to include a picture of it. Thanks ,
