For over fifteen years the Gardner Police Department has sponsored and run our own Law Enforcement Exploring Post, Gardner Police Explorer Post 357. Law Enforcement Exploring is a career education program for youth between 14(and completed the 8th grade) to 21 years of age. Explorers learn what it means to be a police officer and what the job entails. Throughout the year explorers paticipate in we

ekly meetings/training, ride-alongs, community service projects, competitions, and a bi-annual national conference. Explorer program for grades 6th through 8th. Bi-weekly meetings will be run by senior explorers and department advisors. The program will be a less intense experience, taking away ride-alongs and some advanced training the seniors explorers experience. Recruitment is on-going for both groups and applications are available at the GPD lobby window.
