Greetings...It's been a sad year for us, not being able to visit our friends at all the schools we normally visit each year, and so it has been hard for others who do the same work we do visiting schools to provide educational and cultural presentations. But we are thankful to be healthy and safe here in Colorado.
At the moment we are offering to schools a video that we have produced that walks the viewer through the grounds of our intentional community here in Colorado. It describes a history of the land, our ceremonial grounds, our work here, our living spaces and a few dances demonstrated by a few members of our community. We are asking for a donation for the viewing and if you have Zoom, we are available to do a meeting with schools, classes, parents, teachers. Please contact us via our website, southwestdancers.com. Blessings to you, be safe. eagle bear

May these words find you and yours in good health and happiness. Considering the situation in the country, our presentations at schools are on hold as we wait for schools to reopen and gatherings of groups of people are again permitted. Our prayers go out to our nationwide community, please everyone take care , maintain a safe distance, and self quarantine should it be necessary. For the health of everyone be safe and responsible.

As the country mourns the death of many during another school killing, let us not forget to speak to our children, friends and family, reach out to those who seek help, yet don't know how to ask. Talk to one another, put down the texting and talk to one another face to face, where tears and fears can be seen . Love will always stand out against hate and fear, but we have be active and continue to teach our chldren to be present and understanding. As many have said before, it takes a community to raise a child.
