It was a busy day yesterday at Orange CBES! 🎨🖼️

From exploring creativity in our GAAMHA Gallery, to enjoying great food and even better company at Lunch Club at Kay’s, to relaxing with Jigsaw Zen, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

We also got a special visit from some baby birds, which brought plenty of smiles and excitement to the day! 🐦💛

Days like these remind us that learning, friendship, community, and a little bit of fun go hand in hand.

​Our crew had a fantastic time on a special tour of the library!
​A huge shoutout to Chad, who gave an incredible look around, answered all of the questions, and even showed everyone how to navigate the library computer systems to look up favorite books.
​From exploring the stacks to diving into some great reading material, it was a wonderful afternoon learning about all the amazing resources available right here in the community. We are so lucky to have such an accessible and welcoming space!

Every week, we love taking a moment to recognize the hard work, kindness, growth, and accomplishments of the amazing individuals at Orange CBES. Whether it's reaching a goal, helping a friend, trying something new, or simply bringing a positive attitude each day, there is so much to celebrate.

A big thank you to Samantha Piragis, Public Health Nurse with the North Quabbin Health Collaborative, for coming to our program today! ☀️

As we head into the warm summer months, learning about sun safety is more important than ever. Our group enjoyed learning ways to stay safe while still having fun outdoors, including protecting our skin, staying hydrated, and recognizing the signs of too much sun exposure.

Every Thursday, Orange CBES volunteers at Orange Gives Back, helping support an organization that does so much for our community. This week, we took on a different volunteer project and spent the day gardening at Hazel’s Park across the street!

Hazel Lackey opened and operated the clothing center for nearly three decades, dedicating countless hours to helping others in the community. We were proud to help freshen up this special area that honors her legacy.

It was a beautiful day for teamwork, giving back, and taking pride in our community! 🌼🌱💚

​Let’s hear it for Danny! This absolute powerhouse has been holding it down at the Narragansett School District for 9 whole years and is officially cruising into Year 10. (Someone get this man a decade milestone trophy already!) 🏆
​Not only is Danny an incredibly hard worker, but he’s also a total crowd-favorite. Literally everyone he works with agrees: Danny rules. When he’s not busy being a rockstar employee, he’s doing what he does best—talking sports! If you need a hot take on his favorite teams, he is your go-to analyst. 🏈🏀
