🚀 Rocket Run Day Is Here🚀

Parents, we’re excited for our upcoming Rocket Run! Please see the important details below:

• Run times will be followed as scheduled for each class. Parents are welcome to join at your child’s assigned run time.

• After students finish running, they will return to the front of the school to enjoy a popsicle.

🚗 Parking Information:
To help keep our students safe, parents may NOT park at the high school or behind the football field.

Please park at:

*Christway

♿ Handicap Access:
If you are transporting someone who is unable to walk, you may drop them off at the front entrance of the football field. After drop-off, you must park at one of the designated locations listed above.

⚠️ This policy is in place to ensure there are no vehicles on the side roads where students will be walking.

🏃‍♂️ Parents are welcome to join their child on the track during their last lap!

🚀 ROCKET RUN ANNOUNCEMENT 🚀

Rocket Run money is due tomorrow! Please make sure your child brings their donations with them to school tomorrow, as we will begin counting money for prizes.

Any late money turned in will not be eligible for prizes.

All donations are due by Friday, April 10th. Please make sure everything is turned in by that date, as no money will be accepted after Friday.

The GES PTA is excited to celebrate our amazing teachers May 4–8, 2026, and we need your help! We’re seeking local businesses to partner with us in showing our appreciation for the hardworking educators who make a difference every day.

🚀GES Rocket Run 2026 is BLASTING OFF! 🚀

Gardendale Elementary families — your child should have brought home their Rocket Run packet today! Be sure to check those backpacks and get started raising donations!

This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and every dollar raised goes right back into our school!

How it works:
Students will collect donations leading up to Rocket Run, then run laps on event day!

PRIZES, PRIZES, PRIZES!
The more you raise, the more you earn! Students will receive a prize for EACH level they reach, including:
⭐ Squishmallows
⭐ Sweet Caroline’s gift cards
⭐ Urban Air jump passes
⭐ Chick-fil-A lunch

PLUS:
🥇 1st Place Overall – $300 Visa Gift Card
🥈 2nd Place Overall – $200 Visa Gift Card
🥉 3rd Place Overall – $100 Visa Gift Card

Dinner plans = SOLVED

Tomorrow night, skip the cooking, skip the dishes, and let Chick-fil-A do the work… all while supporting Gardendale Elementary!

📅 Tuesday, March 17th
⏰ 6am–10pm

Just place a mobile order at Chick-fil-A Gardendale, and a portion of your order will go directly back to our school — and all the money raised will be given back to Gardendale Elementary!

So basically…
You eat chicken.
The kids get support.
Everyone wins. 🐔

It’s what we call a very responsible parenting decision.

Since it was an e-learning day filled with parent conferences, the PTA was happy to provide pizza for the teachers and staff for lunch.

We appreciate everything they do for our students each and every day, and it was a small way for us to show how thankful we are! 🍕
