We are pleased to share that the Orange County Fire Authority has revised the evacuation zone following successful mitigation efforts related to the hazardous materials incident in Garden Grove.

As a result, the following nine schools are no longer within the evacuation area and will reopen for normal operations tomorrow:

Pacifica High School
Rancho Alamitos High School
Bell Intermediate School
Barker Elementary School
Bryant Elementary School
Carver Preschool
Enders Elementary School
Garden Park Elementary School
Patton Elementary School
Three schools, Alamitos Intermediate, Lawrence Elementary and Wakeham Elementary and our M&O and Transportation facilities remain under evacuation orders and continue to be closed.

We are grateful to our emergency responders and partner agencies for their continued work to improve conditions and support our community throughout this incident.

While this remains an active situation and mitigation efforts are still ongoing, district staff will continue working closely with emergency officials to monitor conditions and prioritize the safety of all students and staff.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and support during this challenging time.
