Garden Grove Historical Society Stanley Ranch Museum In 1970, Agnes Stanley donated two acres to the Garden Grove Historical Society.

This house, Arthur's barn, tank house and her son Emerson's home were also donated to the Garden Grove Historical Society. The two acre property is now known as the Stanley Ranch Museum and some of Garden Grove's oldest homes and business buildings have been moved to this location. Maintenance is done by members through contributions of time, financial donations and income from fundraisers. The St

anley Ranch Museum is owned by the Garden Grove Historical Society which is a private nonprofit organization and receives no government funding. The Ware-Stanley House, completed in 1893, is the focus home at the museum. Also included at the site are homes dating from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. Garden Grove's first post office, opened in 1877; the Electric Shoe Shop/Barber Shop; and Garden Grove's #1 fire engine, a 1926 American La France, are part of the exhibits. One of the most popular attractions is the Walt Disney Studio Garage which was relocated to the former ranch site in the 1980's.

This is it! The last day of the Barn and Book Sale! Rain or Shine we will be open. We have restocked both the barn and Emerson Hall. Even if you have been here both days, you will find new treasures.

Today's the day! The Barn and Book Sale starts this morning at 8 a.m. We are ready. The sale starts today, April 23 at 8 a.m. and continues until Saturday, April 25. We have something for everyone!

Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

We are almost ready for the Barn and Book sale. We will have something for everyone.
If you are Louis L'Amour fans, we have hundreds of his books. We even have some Zane Grey books. We have novels, history books, recipe book, just about every subject under the sun. We have books inside Emerson hall and in the red barn. Most books are 50 cents each for paperbacks and $1.00 for hardback s. There are some that are marked higher.
For you Disney collectors, we have a large table of items for you to browse. We have books, figurines, clothing, popcorn holders, ephemera. Come by and add to your collection.
We have jewelry and watches, figurines, household goods, clothing galore, decorator items.

Our holiday sale was a success. Thank you for everyone who came.

We have a treat in store for you:

Tonight, December 9, at 7:00 p.m. The Garden Grove Historical Society is hosting the Bolsa Grande concert choir in our annual holiday concert. The is no charge to attend the concert.

Our address is 12174 Euclid St. Garden Grove. We have plenty of free parking and our parking lot lights now work. The 1930s vintage street lights now give out the familiar yellow glow they did when they were new.

Come by and enjoy a nice start to the Christmas season.

The Elves at the Stanley Ranch have been busy decorating the Stanley House for Christmas. Come join us for our public tours on Sunday, December 7 and 21, 2025 and January 4 and 18, 2026. The tours begin 1:30 p.m., no tickets or reservations required. Just register at the General Store (the first building on your right when you enter our property)about 1:15 p.m.
