Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center held an extra concert during school today so that the kids that missed the concert from going to Worlds could still play in it! I'm glad we have such great schools in Garden City and USD 457 Garden City Public Schools!

The final day of Worlds went great, we had our best two matches of the competition scoring 248 and 303 points! We ended up finishing in 59th place in our division. We had a great time at Worlds and we made a bunch of new robotics team friends!

We had a great (and tiring) first day at VEX Worlds! I believe we got our highest run ever for driving skills and our first team work matches went great! Finished it off with a fun time at Dave & Busters. Looking forward to day 2 tomorrow!

City of Garden City, KS – Local Government Mayor Tom Nguyen visited our final practice before we head off to Worlds on Monday!

We wrapped up he end of the regular season with a bang at GCHS! It was the largest robotics competition in Kansas' history (81 teams - 20 teams per division). All of our teams made division finals, three make it to the championship finals, we won one teamwork championship, two won division excellence awards and we won the overall middle school excellence award!

Thanks to everyone who helped at the competition including the siblings that stepped in as loaders (and Marcella who learned how to drive on the fly)! Also, thanks to Caiden C. and Kendall for helping me take all the robotics stuff to GCHS on Friday and help set up the fields there!
